Our Hotel

"Where we love is home. Home that
our feet may leave, but not our hearts

Oliver Wendell Holmes

There's a story behind Chalet Caminetto. It starts when Vittorio and his son Alberto Barbieri, both historical hoteliers of  Monte Bondone, fell in love with a tiny Garnì, with a glorious past and unfortunately fallen. Back in the day, it was a small two-starred hotel, but very close to the ski slopes, in a sunny position and with an outstanding view on the Dolomiti Mountains.

Given the tiny size, Vittorio and Alberto decided that "tiny" was the philosophy of the Caminetto: warm, familiar and in-the-detail, the perfect place for couples. In 2005 the old Garnì was teared down and built again, turning into an intimate hotel, in alpine style.

Lots of wood in different shapes and colours, soft duvets and warm colours, a Wellness Center and a wonderful Staff. When the hotel was opened for the first time, our guests told us that they felt like to be in an alpine chalet. Mission accomplished! The old and abandoned Garnì, reborn from its own ashes, finally became the Chalet Caminetto.
